On April 24, 2023, a guest lecture with U.S. Speaker Aisha Bowie was held at the KCCID conference hall for students of the Kyrgyz State Technical University. U.S. Speaker Aisha Bowie is the founder and CEO of STEMBoard, a certified small business owned by women from low-income families specializing in design and development, IT services, program and project management, data management, and analysis. She heads a group of engineers and programmers, manages customer relationships, and carries out multi-million contracts with the federal government and corporate clients. Bowie was previously an aerospace engineer at NASA’s Ames Research Center and engaged in miniature satellites and optimization of aircraft trajectories.
Aisha Bowie held a productive discussion on “IT and Information Security” for students of KSTU, and during the practical part of the lecture students divided into groups to discuss the current problem and develop a start-up business idea for its solution. Each group presented their idea of a startup. Aisha Bowie promised to support the best presentations for their implementation. The lecturer was asked a lot of questions about her activities, and she gladly answered them, satisfying the interests of the students. They exchanged contacts with social messengers.
At the end of the lecture, the rector of the State Technical University named after him.I.Razzakova Mirlan Chynybayev thanked Aishu Bowi for giving such a productive and interesting lecture to students.
